Futureform
The Future of Construction - so say Futureform, the modular specialist division of Tingdene Renascent Holdings (TRH). TRH has a wealth of experience in the manufacture and fit out of steel framed and timber modular buildings. They have been active in the industry for 40 years with projects that include social housing, schools and offices. Today's off-site manufacturing has considerably advanced and TRH is delighted to be one of the few manufacturers accredited to a building system that achieves BRE type certification and can be used in designs up to 10 floors. Birchway's eco-community will be built in a factory which covers over 16.5 acres of ground in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.
The building system which is based on Monocoque principles comprises a fully-welded light gauge cold formed steel, volumetric modular system. The system is accredited and has BRE type certification and will meet the BPS 2020 accreditation when launched shortly. The system accreditation covers all aspects of the building system from manufacturer and construction through to building completion.
Assembled in the TRH factory, the high-precision building system is an extremely flexible design and allows factory internal fit out which results in less waste as well as extremely high standards of sound and thermal insulation.
Elevations can be created using any number of traditional or contemporary materials such as brick, render, timber, metal tile and composite panel. Roofs can be mono, duel, shallow or steep pitch.
Environmental concerns are at the forefront of everyone's thinking and the building industry is facing the challenge of reducing the Carbon Footprint of new buildings to zero by 2016. However building design using this innovative building system can achieve this today.
